Bilateral brachial plexus block and avoiding its complications : A case report

چکیده

Literature on bilateral brachial plexus blocks is rare as it’s seldom performed due to its complications. We present a case of patient with anticipated difficult airway who underwent upper limb surgery where were used the sole mode anaesthesia. Blocks plain 0.5% bupivacaine below maximum safe dose under ultrasound guidance. A good postoperative 24-hour satisfaction was noted no opioid consumption. Potential complications diaphragmatic paralysis, local anaesthesia systemic toxicity and pneumothorax mitigated guidance, correct selection, while using knowledge different types anaesthetic pharmacokinetics.
